Vineyard surface area: a one hectare single plot in Getaria.
Average age of the vines: between 40 and 50 years.
Alcohol content: 11.5%.
Soil: calcareous clay soil. The vineyards are situated at 300 meters from the Cantabrian sea. Low altitude.
Vine training system: 100% arbour.
Viticulture: Integrated viticulture. Guaranteed minimum use of plant protection products. Our work philosophy includes sustainable agricul–ture and respect towards what we have inherited. We make our wines using grapes from land which is cultivated using certified integrated production methods
Tasting:
Colour: Pale peach colour with pink hues. Clean and bright in the glass with medium intensity. Fine bubbles owing to the production method.
Nose: Red fruit aromas with fresh intense notes of wild strawberry, cranberry and cherry.
Palate: Silky and appetising start in equilibrium with its natural acidity which provides freshness and a medium finish. The wine has a light alcohol content and soft and fresh expressiveness, which enhances the qualities of the local red grape
Service and food pairing: Gaintza Roses is a wine that, due to its captivating aroma, is ideal for drinking without food, enjoying its rosé Txakolina character.
We recommend serving it at 6º to 8ºC.
This wine is ideal to accompany appetizers, croquettes, grilled vegeta–bles, rice or chocolate.
